Fair or NOT FAIR? Weight-loss Products

Today when I was looking at an issue of OK U.S.A. magazine I came upon a very peculiar ad. The ad was talking about a weight-loss product for women that will help lose weight. The ad says that it will help you lose 25 pounds in just 90 days and that there are six ways to help you lose weight fast.

The product is called Slimquick. I have seen other loss weight products but this ad in particular was actually very interesting. The ad says that a woman and her husband tried to lose weight by cutting down on how much junk food they were eating. The ending results shows that the wife only lost one size and her husband lost 6 sizes. They say that this was not fair because her husband lost more weight than she did. That's when the wife decides that she will use Slimquick which helped to lose weight fast because it is designed for women.

Basically, this ad is advertising that it much easier to loose weight by using their product that actually losing weight naturally. I never seen such a weight-loss product that  says you husband will definitely lose more weight than you ever will.  I thought the ad was kind of hilarious because it uses funny cartoon drawings to illustrate what they are trying to advertise. This ad using tactics by saying that losing weight is a lot harder  to do yourself and it much easier to use Slimquick because it's fast and it works in 6 ways. These ways are metabolism, appetite, energy, water, hormones, and stress.

I also came across another weight loss product in the same magazine, and this time it is a weight loss formula called Methoxyburn. It helps you more with energy and a increase in your metabolism to help you have more energy to lose weight and it is physician recommended. Compared to the other weight-loss product, Slimquick, Methoxyburn says that this product is the strongest weight loss formula. While comparing these two weight-loss products in my mind I've realized that these two products are advertised very differently. Another difference is that Slimquick advertises more about how it will help you lose weight faster, while Methoxyburn advertises for helping energy to help you lose weight. However, both of these products target obese women who have losing weight problems. Slimquick is a weight-loss product for women to lose weight faster, and Methoxyburn ad says their product helps with functions inside your body to help you lose weight faster. Furthermore, Slimquick uses more of a humor approach because it has cartoon drawings of a man and a woman who talks about their product, while Methoxyburn has more of a serious approach showing three real women and their opinions on the product.

I feel that Methoxyburn has a more natural approach because it only helps you with energy and your metabolism so you can lose weight and Slimquick says you can't lose weight fast enough unless you use their product. When you look both of these ads for weight-loss, you really wonder which one is the best for me because you can never be too sure. I also wonder can these kinds of products really help me and get the results that they guarantee? Or is it just as good to do the natural way of losing weight by exercising and eating a better diet? In my opinion, I feel you can never be too sure about these weight-loss products. I feel that it just easier to lose weight naturally because you don't want anything bad to happen to your body.

For example, these weight-loss programs do the "natural" way for losing weight. These weight loss foundations like the "Biggest Loser" or "Weight Watchers" are programs to help you lose weight instead of using a product to help you lose weight. The Biggest Loser uses extreme physical tactics to lose weight and Weight Watchers helps you to learn how to eat a healthier diet.

Overall, these two weight-loss products use very different advertisement approaches to their audiences, especially when trying to advertise their products. Also, different products may vary in what they really want to advertise and how they use that to make you want to buy it.
